Mark Ryan*

Mark is a Senior Managing Director for BeecherHill, an executive search firm based in Columbus. In this capacity, he conducts senior, executive and c-suite leadership searches in the human services and mid-market businesses sectors.

He began his professional career in 1988 with Rimrock Corporation, a leading supplier of automation for aluminum foundries as a Sales Engineer covering the Southeast United States. Subsequently, Mark held increasing responsibility for sales management, manufacturing operations, human resources, finance, and strategy, ending his tenure as President of the firm. Since leaving Rimrock, Mark has served on the boards of corporate interests Air Culinaire, Midwest Electric, and First Merchants Bank.

Mark has been actively involved in the community for many years. He has served on the boards and in leadership of Rebuilding Together, Volunteers of America, Notre Dame Alumni Club of Central Ohio, St. Stephen’s Community House, the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts and Gahanna Christian Academy. Mark has been recognized for his service with awards from the Notre Dame Club, St. Stephen’s, and the New Albany Community Foundation.

Mark has been pleased to be able ride in Pelotonia each year since it began in 2009 in support of curing cancer. In 2014, Mark was invited to join the OSU James Cancer Hospital Foundation Board where he served as vice chair and chaired the Nominating and Governance committee.

In 2007, Mark was elected to serve as one of five members of the Board of Education for the New Albany Plain Local School District. As part of that service, he chaired the Finance and Superintendent Search committees and served on the Facilities, Benchmarking and Levy committees as well. He served as Board President during his second term which ended in December of 2015.

Mark graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He and his wife, Sarah, live in New Albany and have four children, Chris, Colin, Catherine, and Caroline and are members of the Church of the Resurrection.
